ABOUT THE PROJECT

I am Charlotte Caillat, I am a second-year master student at ESSEC (a French business school) and I want to work in the human rights field. I have been passionate about Mexico and its history since my first trip there, in 2013.
I have also been involved in the fight against gender-based violence for a few years, and I am sensitive to all art forms.
That is why I decided to participate in a research project competition to get a grant for my project, which mixes the three dimensions mentioned above. I won the Mellac scholarship, which allows me to leave for six months in this fabulous country, in order to investigate the music committed against gender-based violence in Mexico.
The objective: to meet committed artists, activists, and also many Mexicans who will be willing to discuss the topic.
In addition to a written paper, I am working on the production of a documentary film which will represent the different dimensions of the topic.
